Alert to all Gundam fans, the new HGUC 1/144 ZZ Gundam is coming in June. It can transform to the aircraft mode. Well, i think minor paint job is needed to get it looks better as this is still 1/144 scale model kit. If you have the budget, go for the MG ZZ Gundam which has more details.

SoftBank announced today their new cellphone handset "945SH G Ver.GP30th", a Gunpla(Gundam plastic model)-themed phone to celebrate the toy's 30th anniversary.

Gunpla phone "945SH G Ver.GP30th"(by Sharp) was unveiled today at SoftBank's presss conference.

The phone comes with extra lid for the battery case themed on RX-78-2 Gundam's shield (the red part) and various decals to create your own Gundam phone, just like you can modify your Gunpla.

Features 3.4 inch (854*480) full-wide VGA NEW Mobile ASV LCD, 1.4 inch (64*192) OEL sub-display, 12.1 mega pixel anti-shake autofocus camera, and various pre-installed Gundam contents.
Comes with a special cradle/charger that can be used as a display base for the plastic model.

To come out in mid September at the earliest. SoftBank shops and the official online shop will start accepting pre-orders on May 19.

Good news for GUNPLA fans, a new Grade of Gundam model kit is coming out soon. It looks so promising in 1/144 scale with highly details parts and decal. Below is some info that translated from Japanese site.

- In commemoration of the 30th anniversary, a new brand of Gundam Models has been created!
- RG (Real Grade) is a series that pursue [realistic-ness], to create accurately high detail, action and gimmicks, with a pre-constructed inner frame, to make assembling fun and easy, a new brand of plastic model kit for all those that knows Gundam.
- The Real System is the way to express the miniature-sized machine, pursuing reality of the machine to be enjoyed on the top of your palm.
- The interior construction up till now has been changed by the [Advanced MS Joint]. The [System Injection] have evolved further, for use within the interior frame of RG. Just by removing parts from the frame, the interior frame gimmicks and movement range that surpasses MG has been achieved. With the number of parts on the frame reduced down to only 12 items, allowing a stress-free construction.
- The new decal [Realistic Decal]
  The high-quality decal to express the realistic texture, the [Realistic Decal]. With the foil and marking merged as one, a brand new decal that has been compressed down to a single sheet. The decal with special material will give a weightier feel to it with more metallic expression.

“Mokei Senshi Gunpla Builders” to Celebrate Gundam 30th Anniversary

New anime project Mokei Senshi GUNPLA BUILDERS -Beginning G (lit. Model Fighter Gunpla Builders: Beginning G) was unveiled today at Shizuoka Hobby Show 2010. As you can tell from the tite, it's not a Gundam anime but a Gunpla anime!

The three-episode anime will come out as "Part A", "Part B" and "Part C", starting this summer, though it's still unclear whether it'll come out as a TV anime, a theatrical release or OVAs. A special teaser programme will be aired this summer on NHK's BS11 Digital.

1:1 GUNDAM new stage at Shizuoka!!

The 1:1 scale Gundam was a suceed in Tokyo last year. This giant has been relocated to Shizuoka with a light saber added on right hand. Exhibition will be started on 24 July 2010.
